Shermichael Singleton is an American political strategist, writer, and host/commentator with a multifaceted background that spans politics, media, and public speaking. Singleton is a CNN on-air contributor where is commentates on and analyze politics. He also hosts a weekly nationally syndicated radio show on SiriusXM, Saturday's from 2:00 to 3:00 PM EST on SiriusXM Urban View Channel 126.

 

His career in politics includes working on the presidential campaigns for Newt GingrichMitt Romney, and Dr. Ben Carson. Singleton has also served as a consultant for high-profile clients and political candidates, including those running for Congress (House/Senate) state, and local offices across the country. His analytical skills were honed at America Rising, a Republican opposition research firm. He is known for his public speaking engagements and has been featured on CNN, MSNBCFox NewsPoliticoThe New York TimesThe Washington PostBuzzFeedThe Huffington PostBET, and C-SPAN, among others.

 

Shermichael briefly served in the Trump administration at Department of Housing and Urban Development to Secretary Dr. Ben Carson, where he served as deputy chief of chief of staff.

 

In 2019 he co-hosted Consider It, a digital show that focused on culture and politics by Facebook (Meta) and Vox Media. He also co-created and hosted Screen Share on MSNBC Peacock, under the special projects division for MSNBC in 2022, leading up to the 2022-midterms.

 

Singleton was a contributor to The Hill where he wrote weekly columns, and also wrote for The Boston Globe as an opinion writer. His columns have also been featured in The Washington Post, CNN among other papers. Shermichael has a degree in Political Science from Morehouse College.
